Summary

Open to individuals currently within the Federal Civil service, including all positions in the executive (includes excepted service), judicial, & legislative branches, except positions in the uniformed services. Also included are experts & consultants who occupy appointive positions, and individuals in the Postal Service and the Postal Rate Commission. D.C. Government is not part of the Federal civil service. SES Reinstatements & SES CDP graduates are eligible for consideration.
As a Chief Technology Officer, you will be part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer. If selected, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring and analyzing technology and trends that could improve and/or standardize security, programs, products and performance;
Establishing enterprise-wide technology standards and communicate technical information to the organization, executing multiple high-impact initiatives to achieve overall goals;
Serving as a key advocate for advancing the state of enterprise architecture, information technology investments, capabilities and services based on technology trends, legislative requirements;
Providing technical and administrative leadership within OCIO for the successful implementation and the maturation of the Agile methodology; and
Accountable for supporting the execution of digital creative services, applications and products.

Qualifications
The Executive Core Qualifications are required for entry to the Senior Executive Service; to meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, you must show in your resume that you possess the five Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and two Technical Qualifications, listed below.

Technical Qualifications (TQs):
Demonstrated executive-level experience in information technology and enterprise architecture issues, processes, policies, standards, techniques, models, artifacts and/or methodologies and the ability to apply these, as required, to formulate and advance the definition and documentation of an agency-wide enterprise architecture.
Demonstrated experience in using human-centered design principles, consumer internet technologies, service delivery, and technology management approaches, to develop, build, and /or maintain state-of-the- art technology solutions across an enterprise.
