This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Criminal Investigators for the Criminal Investigation Division to recruit and appoint qualified candidates in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Criminal Investigator responsible for conducting and/or overseeing investigations of suspected felony violations against the laws of the United States and the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) in which the U.S. Army is, or may be, a party of interest.

GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or at least two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position that would otherwise substitute for specialized experience.
GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or completion of all requirements for an LL.M. degree from an accredited college or university in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position that would otherwise substitute for specialized experience.
Combining Education and Experience:
GS-09: Having some specialized experience, but less than one year; and more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. The total must be at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 18 hours (total semesters hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
GS-11: Having some specialized experience, but less than one year; and more than two years but less than three years of education as described in B. The total is at least 100%.
