The National Security Division (NSD) has established a new National Security Cyber Section to conduct all operational functions for the Division's investigation and prosecution of cyber-related threats. The position of Chief, National Security Cyber Section is headquartered in Washington D.C., and will have full responsibility for carrying out all policy, programmatic, supervisory, and managerial matters assigned or required to assure effective and efficient operations of the National Security Cyber Section.
As an integral part of the federal government's response to significant cyber threats, NSD uses its law enforcement authorities to investigate and prosecute nation state actors and proxies as well as to prevent and disrupt such threats. National security cyber threat investigations frequently present novel technical, operational, and legal questions, including challenges related to attribution; obtaining electronic evidence; responding to the speed and global span of cyber activity; and balancing law enforcement and intelligence interests.

Applicants must possess a J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and have at least 5 years of relevant post-J.D. experience (On your resume provide the year in which you obtained your degree and the name of the college or university from which it was conferred/awarded). AND Licensure: Applicants must be an active member of a bar in good standing, duly licensed and authorized to practice law as an attorney under the laws of any state, U.S. territory, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
