Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes operating multi-line telephones, computers or radio equipment to provide information to callers; obtaining accurate and detailed information from callers and inputting data collected into databases and software systems; communicating orally to a wide range of people to obtain and provide information; and complying with and follow standard operating procedures in a fast-paced and changing environment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed by the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Fire Science or Communications.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
