Conducts Analysis Related to Criminal, Civil and Administrative Investigations:
Serves as an investigative analyst in an entry-level capacity for OIG, particularly the Office of Investigations.
Researches, analyzes and reports on a variety of investigative, financial and intelligence information to support ongoing investigations.
Identifies the appropriate software applications and analytical tools to enter, capture and process data to assist with the reconstruction of events and aid in the identification of patterns of criminal conduct or administrative violations.
Serves as a member of a diverse OIG team, with multiple roles including investigations, audits and evaluations.
Policy Analysis and Development for Investigative Programs:
With some guidance, drafts sanitized results and investigative summaries for publication, ensuring the integrity of ongoing investigations.
Supports collection of investigative metrics and follows compliance with federal standards and expectations for investigative performance management.
Investigative Program Liaison Activities:
Participates in intelligence sharing task forces or operations with other federal agencies, including FBI, US Capitol Police, Homeland Security Investigations, IRS and other local, state and federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Develops relationships and builds effective partnerships with individuals and experts in the private and government fields of analytical research and related tools on behalf of the OIG.
This position requires a Secret clearance and a valid driver’s license are required.
