As a Scientific Review Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance in a major scientific subject-matter area while coordinating review activities.
Specifically, you will:
- Oversee, coordinate, and administer the scientific peer review process for health services research grant applications.
- Recruit qualified reviewers and identify potential conflicts of interest (COIs), as well as gaps in the knowledge base.
- Conduct data analyses of the administrative and scientific decision-making processes within AHRQ, in an effort to improve the conduct and results of peer review activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to grantees and applicants on a wide range of subject matter related to programs and policies.
- Prepare summary statements containing the recommendations of the committee.
