The Deputy Director is administratively responsible for many of the operations of the Laboratory as delegated by the Laboratory Director; serves as advisor to the Director of the Laboratory on all aspects of EL technical programs, budgeting, administrative policies, and on long-range planning for facilities; participates in effecting new programs and program coordination between the Divisions, other Laboratories at NIST, and other organizations associated with related Engineering Laboratory programs. PTQ 2 - Demonstrated leadership experience planning, organizing, and coordinating a significant physical science or engineering program.
PTQ 3 - Demonstrated experience providing authoritative leadership and management for a scientific and engineering organization of significant size, resources, scope and complexity.
