Established in 1961 by President Kennedy, Federal Executive Boards (FEB) foster communication, coordination and collaboration among Federal field agencies. They provide a convening forum for local Federal leaders to share management challenges and strategies to meet agency missions and goals, identify common issues, develop collaborative efforts to address those issues, and share best practices among their peers. Additionally, they identify opportunities to build relationships with intergovernmental and community organizations, as well as with colleges and universities; support federal workforce initiatives; and provide targeted employee development and training programs. They also maintain valuable communication channels among Federal agencies, increasing their preparation for responding to local and National emergencies.
As the Deputy Associate Director, FEB you will report to the Associate Director for Employee Services and advise the OPM Director on matters pertaining to the FEB national program strategic direction, implementation, and oversight. If selected, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the national FEB program to provide for strategic communication and collaboration across agency field office operations and headquarters.

You will be evaluated on the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience, and education. The OPM Executive Resources Board (ERB) will review results and make recommendations on final selections to the approving authority.
