The position is located in the Veterans Benefits Administration's (VBA) Columbia Regional Office and reports to the Southeast District Director and Deputy Under Secretary for Field Operations. The responsibilities of the Regional Office Director include, but are not limited to:
1) Effective management of VBA program of benefits and services involving the Veterans Service Center and Veteran Readiness and Employment.
2) Complete oversight and management of the operations, resource distribution and management of the regional office.
3) Serves as the top line manager and supervisor for the proper and efficient operation of the regional office.
4) Ensures policies and procedures are consistent with VA guidelines and priorities.
5) Engages and collaborates with internal and external partners to promote benefits, services, and programs for the Veteran community.
6) Provides leadership, oversight, and management of over 700 employees and the timely and efficient administration of benefits and services to over 400K Veterans, Service members, and families and survivors in South Carolina.
