As a Senior Single Family Housing Specialist (QAD), you will:
- Perform reviews and analyzes reports from on site reviews of Title I and Title II lenders to determine compliance with loan origination and servicing procedures and requirements, Fair Housing and RESPA.
- Analyze information obtained from the onsite review or compliance review and independently may contact HUD offices, the industry sources, local government offices and the general public, in obtaining further information to support, allegations of violations of FHA requirements, contained in the review report.
- Recognize facts and evidence and is able to assemble, correlate and analyze information obtained in reviews and investigations.
- Prepare correspondence, technical back-up documentation, status reports, schedules and other information for referral to the Division Director and/or HUD Headquarters for action or implementation. Writes in a concise, clear manner and fully documents all reports. When appropriate, prepares referrals for administrative or enforcement action.

Key Requirements:You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To be qualified for this position at the GS-13 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. This experience is defined as:
- Performing compliance monitoring through the evaluation of risk assessment of Federal Housing Administration Single-Family mortgage loans; AND
- As a member of a team or panel, providing recommendations on the loan origination or servicing practices required for compliance with Title I and Title II, Fair Housing and RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act); AND
- Applying Federal Housing Administration compliance requirements on items, such as; credit reports, asset documents and appraisals; AND
- Recommending policy changes regarding risk for lending policies.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.

The duty station for this position will be a home-based worksite or other non-HUD owned space anywhere within HUD's Santa Ana HOC Region, which encompasses the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington.
Pay will be determined based on the duty location of the position. Employees will receive the locality rate associated with the location of their home worksite. Salary may be adjusted upon final duty location determination.
This is a 100% telework position, in which you may reside and work at a location within the Region of Santa Ana HOC jurisdiction. If selected for the position, you must sign an employment agreement prior to onboarding that details the working conditions/expectations.
