Operations Support (OS) brings together skills, functions, and specialized capabilities that directly support CBP's operational and law enforcement organizations to further enable their ability to successfully fulfill the CBP mission. The creation and construct of OS affords CBP a platform for enhanced integration across these functions, while also providing comprehensive support to the agency's frontline operators.
OS integrates operational offices through functional areas including medical support, international affairs, planning, requirements development, significant incident coordination, scientific services, policy, and use of force, which is essential to carrying out CBP's mission. By promoting a collaborative culture, OS provides comprehensive and effective support to enhance mission execution.
As a Student Volunteer, you will be provided with on the job training and assignments to commensurate with your education. You will participate in duties that will be associated with your major and the Program Office (PO). The duties will be assigned with the intention to provide you with good working knowledge of the department/agency. Specific functional areas and assignments will be discussed individually with prospective students in an attempt to match their interests and capabilities. These duties may include:

You will be evaluated based on your major, any relevant experience, and the needs of the program office.
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
