Various duties of these positions can include analyses of legislation/regulation and developing policy briefs (Benefits Analyst), develop business requirements, testing or deployment of systems (Program Specialist), manage large scale system or data driven projects, utilizing difficult analytics techniques (e.g., robotics process automation) for enterprise-wide solutions, use of data science tools, including scripted languages, to develop data driven solutions, monitor and address health economics developments, generate data visualization output, and utilize a variety of programming assets (e.g., SAS, R, Python) (Data Scientist and Economist).

Position 22-0301-1560-0110-JT-SPLASH-2: Program Specialist - analyze insurance operations, policy and guidance, program administration, or systems requirements and development.
Position 22-0301-1560-0110-JT-SPLASH-3: Data Scientist - use data science tools and analyses to develop models, predictions, and counterfactual analyses for evidence-based policy making, to propose policy options, and guide regulatory and legislative changes.
Position 22-0301-1560-0110-JT-SPLASH-4: Economist - develop and analyze population health data resources to support administrative and policy considerations of current and future health economics developments.

A. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.

B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
For the Economist, GS-0110 you must FIRST meet the basic requirements:A. Degree in Economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
OR
B. Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
