This position is a mission critical occupation and is responsible for analyzing public health programs, policies and procedures to ensure that Health Resources and Services Administration meets its mission, goals and objectives.
As a Supervisory Public Health Analyst, you supervise administrative, technical, and professional staff and provide leadership and guidance to staff. You serve as an expert and coordinator in providing intellectual leadership and focus relative to the delivery of maternal and child health services.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
- Participating in the development of program goals, objectives, priorities, and activities.
- Providing advice and guidance on the most challenging problems for a program of national or regional/state scope and impact.
- Advising and collaborating with high-ranking officials such as other agency heads, top congressional staff officials, state executives, legislative leaders, and executives of comparable private sector organizations.
- Researching and writing reports or other working documents that provide authoritative guidance on complex and wide-impacting program issues.
