This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, Assistant Administrator -Field Operations/Intelligence Division.
As a Supervisory Investigator, you will:
- Develop TTB's criminal enforcement strategy, including goals, performance measures, long-range planning initiatives, as well as shorter-scope initiatives that demonstrate the division's effectiveness and set it up for achieving TTB's long-range strategic goals.
- Plan, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate all criminal investigation programs and activities within the Bureau, to include development, execution, and evaluation of an annual operating plan and operating budget.
- Review criminal investigative reports to ensure that evidence collected is sufficient to support violations of Federal tax statutes related to alcohol, tobacco, and firearms products as well as other tax statutes outlined by the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
- Develop and maintain partnerships with high-level officials from other Federal, State, local and foreign law enforcement agencies to promote economy and efficiency through joint strategies and tactics. This includes discussing mutual programs, reaching agreements on complex law enforcement program, training agencies on Federal tax statutes related to TTB's regulated industries and the Internal Revenue Code (IRC); outlining issues and problems with potential IRC tax violations, and collaborating on case development.
- Provide expert advice and direction, as needed, to other TTB directorates and divisions on matters and issues regarding alcohol and tobacco criminal enforcement policy. Advise and assist US Attorneys, DOJ attorneys, TTB Counsel Attorneys, and other officials with respect to Federal tax statutes related to TTB's regulated industries and the IRC, legal proceedings and investigative matters.
