As the IT Liaison for the COO you will:
Work with COO management to proactively identify needs, facilitate problem resolution as necessary; coordinate within the IT area to ensure customer issues are addressed in a timely fashion; share knowledge of available IT products and services; and provide expert IT consulting services.
Provide strategic consultation to clients in defining or designing business processes and partner with appropriate IT staff to research and identify enabling technologies based on customer requirements.
Formulate innovative approaches that achieve desired business objectives, including defining system scope and objectives and assisting with business case justification.
Provide senior management with an integrated individual business and corporate-wide business perspective, assess and consult on risks and the effects of specific requirements on other business processes and system priorities while ensuring that technologies are aligned with business strategies.
Partner with business leaders, IT senior management, and peer-level managers to identify the technological cost and impact of recommended changes, help to clarify priorities, and coordinate cross-organization groups where common needs have been identified.
Create and sustain business literacy in the IT organization; maintain clarity about values, visions, meaning, and purpose in IT/business integration.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as serving as an advisor or consultant to senior leadership on the development and implementation of IT policies, programs and business requirements; and analyzing IT systems to address client missions, business goals, and priorities.
