As a Horticulturist, you will be responsible for assisting the Regional Horticulturist improving the landscape management program for the National Capital Region at GSA.
Location of position: Washington, DC
Division/Office: National Capital Region, Public Building Service, Service Delivery Support (WPY), Safety, Environment and Fire Protection Branch.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $89,834 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is work performed with Federal, State, local governments or private sector in developing and managing sustainable landscape programs in an urban environment AND
Possess a Horticulture Degree as a basic requirement

It is also preferred that you have:
Degree: horticulture; or a related discipline of basic plant science that included at least 30 semester hours in the basic plant sciences, of which at least 16 semester hours were in horticultural subjects such as those dealing with the breeding, care, management, production, and post harvest handling of horticultural crops.
