Duties
- Plan and manages the repair and utilities program.
- Coordinate requests for alterations, modifications, and new construction with the Garrison Master Plan to avoid duplication of facilities, interference with planned or existing facilities or conflict with environmental protection consideration.
- Participate with the Program, Budget, and Manpower Division and other directorate personnel in preparing, justifying, and adjusting the directorate budget.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all facilities work performed by contractors.
- Direct an environmental management, protection, and compliance program involving land, fish and wildlife; cultural and natural resources; hazardous and toxic substance use, waste and disposal; and noise, air, and water pollution.
- Through subordinate supervisors assigns, directs, and evaluates work of the subordinate organizational elements.
- Review and accepts or rejects work accomplished; evaluates subordinate employee performance; identifies and fulfills the training needs of subordinates.
- Approve annual, multiyear-year and longer range work plans developed by subordinate supervisors/managers; oversees revisions of these plans as necessary and manages achievement of goals and objectives outlined in long range plans.
