Due to COVID-19, FEMA is currently in an expanded telework posture which will end February 28, 2022. You qualify for this position at the GS-05 level if you possess the following: 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 grade level in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of general experience. General experience for this position includes:

Agency has the option to convert an intern to a permanent position (or, in some limited circumstances, to a term position lasting 1-4 years) if the requirements of the program are met. This is not automatic. It is at the discretion of the employing office. Interns may be converted to the GS level qualified for at the time of conversion. To be eligible for conversion, an intern must:
1. Be a U.S. Citizen;
2. Complete at least 640 hours of work experience acquired through the Internship Program;
3. Complete their degree or certificate requirement and have that degree or certificate awarded/conferred;
4. Meet the Off ice of Personnel Management's qualification standards for the position to which the intern will be converted;
5. Meet agency-specific requirements in the Pathways Internship Agreement; and,
6. Perform their job successfully as documented through performance evaluations
