As a Museum Policy and Program Analyst, you will:
- Coordinate with all museum units across L to ensure that established policies and practices are in accordance with NARA regulations and industry best practices.
- Gather data and conduct high-level studies and projects related to the management and use of NARA holdings exhibited in its museums and through its loan program.
-Develop policies, objectives, strategic plans, and solutions to potential issues in response to legal and executive developments and changes. Advise and lead officials, subject matter experts, and representatives across the organization in the implementation of new guidance, practices, goals, and/or functions.
- Lead and direct work on audit recommendations regarding museum programs and education and public programs, propose solutions and resolve findings as necessary.
- Develop and make recommendations across all L museums for the long-range planning, goals, use, and evaluation of collections database systems and websites such as TMS and e-museum.
- Conduct analysis of museum, education, and public program evaluation methodologies, analyze reporting and associated metrics for accuracy, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to senior executives.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Performing collections management duties that may include database administration, registration, incoming and outgoing loans, and exhibition and collection documentation and digitization.
AND
- Working on a team or assisting in developing museum policies and standard operating procedures relating to topics such as education and public programs and museum and collections management, including artifact and exhibition management and care, loans, collection planning, collection and exhibition documentation and digitization, and program database management and administrations.
AND
- Analyzing issues impacting museum programs and making recommendations to senior leadership, including how to make improvements, resolve audits and respond to new developments and changes.
