For the GS-11: You can qualify based on your education OR one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level, OR have a combination education and experience. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience utilizing visual communication techniques to develop written and graphic material. Candidate must have experience with at least 3 of the following publishing tools: Graphic Design, Webmaster, Adobe tools, Drupal, SharePoint, Web content software and Microsoft Office Suite.
For the GS-12: You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience developing written and graphic material for websites, applications and social networks for a mid-size organization utilizing all of the following tools: Graphic Design, Webmaster, Adobe tools, Drupal, SharePoint, Web content software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.

The duty location of this position is Washington, DC. Based on our current operating status, FERC employees are teleworking as opposed to coming on-site. When it is determined that our agency will be moving to the reopening phase of our Reconstitution Plan, the expectation will be to physically return to the office in Washington, DC. Telework days and any waiting period for eligibility will be determined at that time.
When promotion potential is shown, future promotions will be dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and administrative approval.
