As an IT Specialist (Network Services), you will:
- Provide subject matter expertise to ensure the effective integration of infrastructure (network, storage, computer) monitoring and virtualization services.
- Perform duties pertaining to the planning, justification, acquisition, implementation, utilization and scaling of infrastructure hardware, software, and components.
- Design the technical architecture for infrastructure monitoring and analysis systems/components supporting the End User computing environment.
- Provide information and recommendations for a scalable infrastructure that grows to meet CEC customer needs.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector, or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience: For the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Participating in matrixed business/technical teams that provide design, testing, integration, deployment and operations for Enterprise LAN/WAN; AND
- Conducting business requirements gathering, analysis and technical requirements development for networks and system architectures supporting Geospatial data movement and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
