- Select methods and procedures to be followed in conducting geological, hydrogeological and hazardous toxic and radioactive waste (HTRW) studies and projects in arriving at adequate solutions to problems encountered.

- Plans, scopes and oversees investigations for assigned projects. Selects the most appropriate geological techniques for materials to be encountered.
