This Program Analyst position is aligned under the Mental Health Service Line at the Tomah VA Medical Center and provides data analysis in the form of statistical reports and action plans as specified by the Mental Health Service Line Manager and Administrative Officer.

Status Candidates
Duties Include:
-Collects and analyzes data and develops reports that facilitate quality assurance within the service line.
-Performs work involving the collection, compilation, and tracking of data and statistical information.
-Reviews compliance reports received, researches the reason for non-compliance and coordinates follow-up.
-Makes recommendations based upon data and develops action plans for non-compliant issues identified, monitoring through completion to ensure compliance is attained and maintained.
-Coordinates assignment of provider peer reviews used for performance reviews and in the credentialing/re-credentialing process.
-Enters data into provider profile database which includes compliance data from reports tracked for Encounters Requiring action, Consults Pending Over 30 days, Unsigned/Un-Cosigned Notes, and Missing Chart Documentation, etc.
-Establishes protocols for incoming data, develops and maintains databases, and retrieves computerized data.
-Performs analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports, using current statistical tools.
-Develops and evaluates documents (e.g., data collection instruments and other data management documents).
-Develops and maintains pertinent information in an automated tracking system.
-Serves as primary resource person to staff on procedures, protocol, and policies of the service.
-Verifies, compiles, analyzes and presents data regarding the integrity of the PCMC package for Mental Health VISN, and national reports.
-Provides assistance for devising and optimizing new and existing clinic profiles, including Tele mental Health Clinics.
-Completes the require clinic profile forms for clinic setup which specify clinic hours, length of appointments, type of clinic, relative value units (RVU), and stop codes for clinics.
-Collects, reviews, analyzes and interprets data regarding clinic usage to measure the clinic's effectiveness and efficiency of providing care.
-Makes recommendations for improved utilization based on the data.
-Proactively monitors service cancellation trends and makes recommendations on appropriate action or suggests alternatives for identified problems.
-Oversees Equipment Inventory List and ordering/turn-in of equipment.
-Serves as Mental Health representative on the Faci9lity Space Committee.
-Assists staff with problems logging into the Talent Management System for completion of online mandatory training.
-Creates and tracks fee basis provider timesheets.
-Purchase card holder and complies with all acquisition regulations.
-Troubleshoots problems reported by employees with printers, personal computers, monitors, keyboards, and software programs.
-Educates employees on simple computer programs to include CPRS/GUI, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
-Tests or coordinates testing of new software/patches for the service line and manages implementation and training of staff for new systems.
-Completes ADP requests for OI&T equipment and software.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
