U.S. Citizens. Area 1 - Open to current, permanent technicians of the Michigan National Guard.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide inspection and certification of maintenance performed on assigned aircraft.
(1) Inspects aircraft and components.
(2) Certifies by signature that services and repairs accomplished adhere to quality standards established by applicable publications.
(3) Reviews and checks aircraft forms and records for accuracy and completeness.
(4) Provides technical assistance and expertise on aircraft maintenance and quality control matters to AASF maintenance and supported units.
(5) When designated on NGB Flying Status orders, may participate in aerial flights which are defined by applicable Army publications as Maintenance Test Flights.
(6) May be required to assist authorized firefighters in the performance of fire/crash/rescue duties on an as needed basis.
(7) Performs other duties as assigned.

Military Grades: E4 - E7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must list some experience in each of these areas: Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must show at least [ 24 ] months in each of the following areas: Experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow. Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container.
