AREA INFORMATION: The Upper Delaware is a Scenic and Recreational River that flows below Hancock, New York to the vicinity of Sparrowbush, New York, a distance of approximately 75 miles. All services and community needs are available in Monticello, NY (about 22 miles) and Honesdale, PA (about 15 miles). Winters are generally mild and as are summers with the average temperature in the summer ranging 70 degrees with some humidity and the average in the winter ranging 20 degrees. Non-Competitive Rehire Eligibility: Temporary seasonal employees can only maintain their non-competitive rehire eligibility if they work no more than a combined total of Temporary NTE less than 1040 or 1730 hours anywhere in the National Park Service (NPS) within their established service year.
