You will serve as the key supply program manager for the Sea Commander project working with Sea Commander system active duty, civilian, contractors and various higher level Coast Guard and other Government Agency offices to maintain supply, logistical, maintenance, and support integration plans and activities for the Sea Commander system onboard the Nation Security Cutters (NSC). You must have broad knowledge of the Sea Commander system and how the system fits into the NSC mission. The focus will be the transition of newly delivered NSC vessels to the Coast Guard from acquisition to sustainment to ensure life cycle management, supply and logistics support activities, and the ability to integrate these separate functional elements into comprehensive concepts, which can be monitored and evaluated against policies. You will also review and evaluate the adequacy of supplies, applicable to the needs of the organization's area of responsibility.

To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience may include the following: researching current supply and logistics policies and concepts to determine logistics modernization issues; assisting senior team members with multiple projects and keeping them on time and within budget through the application of new theories, concepts, and/or developments to supply problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted supply methods, techniques, or procedures; assisting with development of presentation materials, such as training aids; utilizing knowledge of supply methodologies as it relates to the Electrical, Electronics, Marine Engineering and/or Naval Architecture fields; researching and utilizing naval/shipboard maintenance program theories and practices; and assisting with supply and logistics management administrative support activities.
OR Applicants may substitute successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.M, if related).
OR A combination of appropriate specialized experience (as described above) and graduate education (as described above) that is beyond the second year of progressive graduate study to meet the qualification requirements.
