AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1 = All permanent Officers members employees (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Air National Guard.
Area 2 = All indefinite Officers members employees (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Air National Guard.
Area 5 = Officer members of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard.
Area 6 = Applicants who meet all requirements to become member of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. (If the MBR certification is not submitted, your application will not be screened.).

To prevent a grade inversion, military rank allowed for this position will be determined at the final evaluation of the vacancy announcement considering the military rank of the supervisor.

Duties:
As a CHAPLAIN (D2216000),GS-0060-11, you will provide chaplain support to ensure the free exercise of religion for ANG personnel. The incumbent coordinates the Wing Ministry Support Plan which includes; program management, training, readiness/deployment preparation, crisis intervention, Wing integration, and Community Liaison.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SELECTED FACTOR:
1. Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree (not less than 120 semester hours) AND must have successfully completed three years of resident graduate study in theology or related subjects (Master of Divinity), OR 72 semester hours (leading to an ecclesiastical certification as a member of the clergy) from an approved seminary or graduate school.
2. Applicants must complete (Air Force) Chaplain Orientation Course or the (Army) Chaplain Officer Basic Course.
3. Applicants must be ordained by a religious faith group or denomination that is recognized by the Department of Defense Armed Forces Chaplain Board.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess more than THIRTY-SIX (36) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as reviewing training strategies and executing appropriate training methods to ensure compliance; ensuring the Wing Ministry Support Plan conforms to goals and objectives; Procuring and maintaining religious supplies ensuring their distribution; providing immediate Chaplain Corps support for individual or unit emergencies; coordinating all ANG Wing Chaplain Corps activities; providing a background of knowledge and understanding to the Commander's key wing team and serving on local ministerial association to build a bridge of cooperation between the community, its resources and the Wing.
Note: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
