This position is located in the Office of the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Department of Energy (DOE). FEMP works with its stakeholders to enable federal agencies to meet energy-related goals, identify affordable solutions, facilitate public-private partnerships, and provide energy leadership to the country by identifying and leveraging government best practices.
This position serves on the Energy and Water Resilience and Security team at FEMP which partners with key stakeholders to guide the development of resilience planning for the strategic integration of advanced, secure technologies. FEMP also works to address energy management challenges and risks from operational technology physical and cyber security threats. FEMP's program on operational technology security assists federal agencies to actively identify, prioritize and mitigate the risks of cyber or physical attacks on facility-related control systems and distributed energy resources, while maintaining the required level of service for efficient operations. The security program is integrated with the energy and water resilience program planning program to provide an integrated approach.
