OMB is seeking candidates for a Program Examiner position in the Agency's Energy Branch, which is within the Energy, Science, and Water Division. The Energy Branch is responsible for oversight of policy, budget, legislative, and management issues related to the Department of Energy, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and other energy-related agencies. The selected candidate's primary responsibilities will involve oversight of federal nuclear energy technology and infrastructure programs within the Department of Energy's Office of Nuclear Energy, and may also include oversight of federal efforts to manage and dispose of the nation's spent nuclear fuel and high-level waste. Other responsibilities could include covering other federal energy research and development, regulatory, credit, administrative, and/or infrastructure programs. The potential candidate should have experience with nuclear energy technologies and policies.
