Government Information Specialist supports the Board's Information Disclosure program, which is responsible for ensuring the Board's compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA), the Board's Rules Regarding Availability of Information (Board Rules), and relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) guidance.

Responsibilities include (1) end-to-end processing of FOIA/PA requests and appeals; (2) serving as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding the Board's information disclosure policies and procedures; (3) maintaining the Board's public FOIA webpage and electronic FOIA reading room; (4) performing research and analysis to assist in the production of reports as required by the FOIA and DOJ guidance; and (5) processing requests for certificates and posting regulatory proposals and comment letters to the Board's public FOIA webpage.
U.S. Citizenship.
Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or (2) a master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
JD Preferred.
