This position serves as a Government Information Technician within the Division of Support Services branch. The incumbent provides the principal administrative support for the FOIA team, Business Manager, and the Deputy of Support Services. Major duties include but are not limited to:
Physical demands: The work is primarily sedentary. Incumbent is required to handle, box and mail documents.
Work environment: The work is performed in an office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.64. Time-in-Grade requirements for the GS-07 level is 52 weeks at the GS-06 level.
Specialized Experience: In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-06 grade level.

To qualify at the GS-07 level:Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Government Information Technician. Specialized experience includes establishing and maintaining office files and records; researching information for customers either online or in an office filing system; reviewing forms and documents for accuracy; and operating computerized programs and/or databases to enter, modify, and retrieve information.
