Conditions of Employment
1. This position requires a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
2. This position requires temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 25% of the time. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
3. This acquisition position requires LEVEL III certification in the acquisition career field of Test & Evaluation (T); or, incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 24 months of appointment.
5. Position requires incumbent be an Acquisition Corps member or obtain a waiver at the time of appointment.
6. Work requires standing, walking, occasional stair climbing and lifting of boxes, monitors, PCs, etc., some weighing up to 50 pounds. Assistance should be provided when lifting heavy and/or bulky items.

Basic Educational Requirement-General Engineer (Transcripts Required)
A. I have successfully completed a full four-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in engineering in an accredited college or university. The curriculum included differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. B. I have successfully completed a full four-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in engineering from an accredited college or university that has an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). (NOTE: You must provide college transcripts to support educational claims)
C. I have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam (formerly known as the Engineer-in-Training or EIT), or the written test required for professional registration administered by the Boards of Engineering Examiners in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico. I have completed all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in engineering technology (BET) from an accredited college or university that included 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, or I have completed a BET from an ABET accredited program. (NOTE: You must provide college transcripts to support educational claims and certificate of completed EIT exam)
D. I am registered as a Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the United States. The registration is based on a written examination given by the State Board. (NOTE: You must provide a copy of your professional engineering license and college transcripts to support educational claims)
E. I have a combination of at least four years of college level education, training, and/or technical experience that included successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, including the courses listed in paragraph "A" above. Course work completed is fully acceptable toward the requirements of a professional engineering curriculum. (NOTE: You must provide college transcripts to support educational claims)
F. I have successfully completed a four-year curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering technology or in a related scientific curriculum such as physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology; and, I have at least one year of professional engineering experience under the guidance and supervision of a professional engineer.(NOTE: You must provide college transcripts to support educational claims)
OR
Basic Education Requirement for Physical Scientist- 1301
A. I have a degree physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
OR
B. I have a combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (NOTE: You must provide college transcripts to support educational claims)
OR
Basic Education Requirement for Operations Research Analyst- 1515
A. I have a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research.
OR
B. I have a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

Basic Educational Requirement- Biological Science- 0401 (Transcripts Required)
A. Degree: a full four year course of study in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Transcripts are required)
