Supervisory Positions: Experience should also demonstrate the ability to provide supervision to Water/Wastewater Group regarding operation and maintenance of the water/wastewater treatment systems.

Ability to have, or obtain within 6-months of entry on duty, Water Treatment Grade 3 and Water Distribution Grade 2 certifications in the State of Nevada, Wastewater Treatment Grade 3 and Wastewater Collection Grade 2 certifications in the State of Arizona. Other states’ water/wastewater certifications will be accepted if they are equal to or exceed the above certifications. AND possession of both of these certifications no later than two (2) years after entering the position: State of Nevada certification as a Water Treatment Operator (Grade II); Water Distribution Operator (Grade II); State of Arizona certification as a Wastewater Treatment Operator (Grade II); Wastewater Collection System Operator (Grade II).
Skill in professional-level environmental technical program oversight and management, with emphasis on problem resolution involving unusual, sensitive or controversial issues, and multiple jurisdictions.
Skill in review and written analysis of various documents, articles, permits and data, and development of assessments, to provide sound basis for formulation of management alternatives.
Knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and guidelines pertaining to the treatment, distribution, monitoring and reporting for potable water systems and the collection, treatment, disposal, compliance monitoring and reporting and wastewater.
