The Human Exploitation Rescue Operative (HERO) Child-Rescue Corps Program is a partnership with the Department of Defense (DOD), National Association to Protect Children (PROTECT), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, open to wounded, ill, and injured military veterans and designed to assist returning military heroes who lost their mission.
The HERO Child-Rescue Corps Program is seeking candidates for a one year internship at computer forensic laboratories in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations law enforcement offices throughout the United States.
In accordance with the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 (Public Law 114-22) and the Abolish Human Trafficking Act of 2017 (Public Law 115-392), these positions are designed and reserved for:
There are no minimum education requirements necessary to participate in this internship, however your education may be used to support a higher grade level offered for the paid portion of the internship.

NOTE: If choosing Albany, NY or Yakima, WA field locations, these locations are able to host an intern for the duration of the internship, but offers of permanent placement after the internship does not currently exist at these locations.
