The initial area of consideration is this Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). The second area of consideration is current permanent VA Nationwide employees and current permanent Federal employees of other Agencies.
This position is located in the Release of Information (ROI) Unit of the Health Information Management Section (HIMS) of the Central Business Office (CBO) at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). Release of Information (ROI) Technicians disclose health information in accordance with all laws and regulations governing authorization and disclosure of health information.
Work requires knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and legal requirements of medical records. Analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and a high degree of tact and negotiating ability are required on a daily basis to carry out the functions of the position.
