Education Substitution: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, that is directly related to the work of the position. (NOTE: You must upload a copy of your transcript.)
OR
Degree and Experience: Possession of a diploma, associates degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program AND at least one full year of professional nursing experience. Professional Nursing Experience is defined as: providing comprehensive nursing care to psychiatric patients, educating patients and staff and administering medications via various routes.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (Commision on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.
