This position is being advertised under an OPM government-wide Direct Hire issued on October 11, 2018, for Scientific, Technical, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and cybersecurity related positions nationwide. As a Program Coordinator (Terrestrial), within the Division of Resource Services, Branch of Assessment and Monitoring, your duties will include:

Specialized Experience Requirements: In addition to meeting the positive education requirement, your resume must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-09) of the position to be filled. Examples include: Coordinating field natural resource monitoring across multiple crews, including planning and managing logistics, ensuring training requirements are met, and ensuring work is produced accurately and in a timely manner -or- 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
This position has a positive education requirement which requires that you have a Degree in Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, -OR- a combination of education and experience---courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
