The person selected for this position will serve as the Associate Regional Director for Natural Resources Stewardship and Science (ARD-NRSS) and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Natural Resources Stewardship and Science Division providing leadership and direction to the strategic planning, management, and operation of the division's functions and activities. Duties include:

Physical Demands: The position entails office work that is often sedentary for long hours and can be stressful in that the incumbent is often faced with short deadlines, conflicting priorities, and the requirement to resolve conflicting viewpoints.
Working Conditions: Work is most often performed in an office setting, but intermittent, frequent field trips can entail a wide variety of geographical settings and exposure to natural elements and adverse weather conditions.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for situational telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
