As a Digital Media and Outreach Specialist, you will:
- Develop social media initiative strategies as appropriate under the supervision of the Director, Division of Communications.
- Conduct outreach and engage target audiences through various social media with information about the NCUA, its mission, initiatives and events.
- Ensure accurate perception of the agency by utilizing social media networks to disseminate news and other information on the agency's program and goals.
- Gather information to determine social media opportunities, advise management on emerging social media trends, and collaborate with different program areas to facilitate initiatives.
- Analyze and develop the most effective methods and mediums for dissemination of information to a variety audiences using digital formats; work with technical and functional experts to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Utilize desktop publishing and other software applications, designs, publications, web content, briefings and video content.
- Monitor and post to social media and other forums. Monitor social media emerging trends/best practices and provide proactive recommendations.
You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

SALARY: Pay will be set using NCUA's Compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 42.87% for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area.
