You will be responsible for:
Quality control of the Workplace Environment elements of building operations and repair and alteration projects.
Keeping current with the latest developments in Workplace Environments and related disciplines by reviewing technical publications, attending technical conferences or professional society meetings, and discussions with industry representatives in which discussions are of national significance or are of outstanding importance to the Agency. Evaluates new technology and recommends adoption of those that would improve efficiency.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $93,282.00 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have one year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience in providing technical oversight, coordination, and management of environmental protection programs in areas such as: air and water quality, hazardous waste and materials management, oil and hazardous substance spills planning, environmental liabilities, fuel storage tank management, permitting and closure, identification management and mitigation of risks associated with toxic substances, and general environmental compliance. Experience must include the related technical evaluation and assessment for the following types of work projects: facility operations, new construction, renovation and demolition.

Expert knowledge of the wide range of laws, regulations, policies, principles and practices affecting GSA, PBS and Property Management Division. Familiarity with historic preservation, ADA standards, seismic requirements and other laws and standards related to Federal Building design, construction and management. Expert knowledge of health and safety standards, energy conservation and asbestos abatement.
Knowledge of and skill in communication and public relations techniques sufficient to effectively represent the regional office at conferences, meetings and consultations with State agencies, employer/employee groups and special interest groups concerning program objectives and issues.
Mastery of the various technical and operating concepts related to the construction, repair and alteration of Workplace Environment systems in Federal buildings.
Familiarity with the various fields to ensure that areas of overlapping responsibilities between professional disciplines receive proper coordination and consideration in order to accomplish all project objectives.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Standard Operating Practices of Property Management including knowledge of the budget process and activities (B/A 54, 55, 61, 80) related to repair and alteration projects; and building operations.
Knowledge of prospectus requirements, approval and planning process.
