This position in the Division of Materials Research (DMR) has regional or organizational activities that extend outside of the Nationals Science Foundation (NSF) including universities, grantors, facilities, etc. that have cooperative agreements with NSF. The incumbent performs a variety of Program Analysis assignments in support of special or on-going projects in the activity to which assigned. Projects may involve end-to-end merit review and award management, administrative program reviews, cross directorate administrative activities, and organizational studies related to programs, reorganizations, resources utilization, budget portfolio management, etc., to determine appropriateness or to make recommendations impacting the efficiency of operations. The position involves experience in developing reports and data analyses in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise. The incumbent is under the supervision of a Division Management Official equivalent position.
DUTIES
The incumbent applies analytical techniques and information management skills to capture, assemble and disseminate data for assigned projects. The incumbent conducts analyses, prepares evaluations, coordinates activities, and provides advice to management in one or more of the following areas:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a STEM related field; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM related field plus after award of the degree, two or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position.
Expertise in preparing analytical, comparative and statistical reports, the ability to work with web based informational systems, effective project management skills and excellent communicator (orally/written) are highly desired for this position.
This position is outside the competitive civil service.
