As a Visual Communications Specialist, you will:
Serve as a resource for graphical, visual, and multimedia presentation and communication of information and provides assistance and guidance to OIG management in drafting and reviewing written material used for publication internally and externally such as published articles, public statements and speeches, congressional testimony and regular reporting, media quotes, briefing documents and presentations, press releases, audit reports, investigations magazines, materials for internal events and functions such as the annual awards ceremony, OIG weekly newsletter, etc. to ensure consistency, appropriateness of message, and visual appeal.
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE or EDUCATION qualifications for the grade(s) at which you are requesting consideration.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
GS-11: To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service with the following:
Specialized experience for the GS-11 level: demonstrated experience and skill in designing materials including but not limited to reports, infographics, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, brochures; skill and experience with common information technology and graphic design tools; and experience with methods and techniques in printing and layout processes, desktop publishing, photographic techniques computer graphics systems, page layout and SharePoint design.
GS-12: To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service with the following:
Specialized experience for GS-12 level includes: applying advanced knowledge and skill in creating unique graphic design, still photographic and video products. Creates complex infographics, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, brochures; skill and experience with common information technology and graphic design tools; and experience with methods and techniques in printing and layout processes, desktop publishing, photographic techniques computer graphics systems, page layout and SharePoint design.
Candidates will be asked to fill out a Declaration for Federal Employment (Optional Form 306).
