Current students enrolled in accredited educational institutions from high school to graduate level. Includes internships, pathways and other student programs.
All U.S. Citizens who have been accepted for enrollment or are currently enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, 1 year certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis with an anticipated graduation date after January 1, 2020; have at least a cumulative (overall) 2.5 grade point average; and are in good academic standing.
The incumbent may perform the following:
Moderate Risk Position - Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.
Applicant must be able to work at least a part-time work schedule throughout the academic school year and full time during the summer.

To qualify for this program, applicants must: (1) be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree seeking program at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis; (2) have a minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 2.50 out of 4.0; and (3) be in good academic standing.
Eligible applicants may qualify for grades based on education, experience, or a combination of education and experience. Education requirements are established by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Qualifying Experience
CG-07: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-06.
Specialized experience is defined as: knowledge of the role, mission, and methods used by an organizational ombudsman; supporting employee engagement/workplace improvement programs and activities; research and analysis of data, directives, and policies for reports; utilization of software applications to create presentations, draft plans, outlines, agendas, schedules, briefing materials, meeting notes and reports; and technical support for visitors, conferences, events, and establishment/maintenance of files.
Education
CG-07: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education or eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) with completion of a bachelor's degree. If utilizing SAA, you must submit your transcripts or proof of your national honor society membership.
Superior Academic Achievement (SAA):
To qualify for SAA, applicants must have met one of the following:
a. A grade-point average of "B" (a GPA of 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last two years of undergraduate study.
b. A grade-point average of "B+" (a GPA of 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all courses in your major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study.
c. Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university or major subdivision.
d. Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.
Note: One full academic year of undergraduate is 30 semester hours. One full academic year of graduate/vocational/trades/technical/high school education is the number of credit hours determined by the college/university/school. A certificate program must be a 1 year academic program if attending at a full-time status.
If selected, you may be required to serve a trial period.
All selectees must sign a Pathways Agreement.
To be eligible for conversion to the competitive service, you must complete 640 hours of work experience (up to 320 hours may be waived based on successful performance in the position and a 3.45 overall GPA); meet the OPM qualification standards for the target position; and meet the requirements of the FDIC Pathways Agreement. Service in the Pathways Internship Program confers no right to further employment.
