Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the desirability, feasibility and administrative impact of pending legislative proposals originating in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representative which may affect the FDIC's responsibilities as deposit insurer, receiver, and bank supervisor.
Provides advice and recommendations regarding the FDIC's position on pending legislative proposals and on formulating strategies for dealing with such proposals.
Prepare briefing materials for the Chairman and senior management prior to Congressional testimony.
Provide assistance in drafting and final editing of Congressional correspondence relating to policy matters.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Applicants must have at least one year experience equivalent to the CG/GS -14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience advising on legislative proposals originating in the U.S. House or Senate that pertains to banking, consumer financial protection, or resolution of financial firms.
There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.
