Help

Serves as a branch chief in the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Division, with responsibility for planning, directing, controlling and evaluating resources for intelligence production.
Position is a first level, branch supervisor in a mission element with supervision of a staff of intelligence analysts, physical scientists, engineers, chemists, biologists and supporting staff.
Position requires significant judgement and ingenuity to integrate a wide variety of specialized analytical functions.
Plans both ongoing work and special projects, effectively utilizing employee skills and branch resources to accomplish projects.
Reviews work for technical adequacy, adherence to policy and accomplishment of program objectives.
Determines priorities and develops plans to implement complex projects.
Work requires frequent contact within an extensive service and customer network outside of NGIC.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85m Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use must be successfully passed prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required, less than 25% of the time.
All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience working in the chemical and biological warfare (CBW) intelligence community (IC) involved in the production and planning of integrated intelligence products to meet customer requirements. Requires knowledge of current assessments of Worldwide CBW threats and demonstrated ability to work in, form, and lead highly functioning and innovative integrated analytic teams to solve complex problems within the IC utilizing technical background and strong verbal and oral communication skills. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
