As a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST at the GS-1035-11 some of your typical work assignments may include:
· Develops public affairs guidelines and outreach materials, e.g. news releases, web content, and magazine and journal articles.
· Performs routine communications activities as required, including maintaining and updating files and web pages to comply with records management guidelines.
· Maintains the currency and accuracy of all content on the DINFOS public web site and managing the update of all web-based materials distributed via social and other electronic media outlets. Use skill and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Social, Urchin, Word Press, CMS, blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumbler web metrics and analytics.
· Serves as the point of contact for protocol matters, providing customer service to a cross section of the public, both foreign and domestic, military and civilian.
