The purpose of the position is to serve as Director with responsibility for managing, directing and supervising the Digital Media Engagement Division. OPA digital media engagement personnel engage the public, the media, stakeholders and the CBP workforce via social media, CBP's websites and internal and external visual information display systems. This position starts at a salary of $134,789.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $164,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $164,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

All newly appointed, GS-15s are required to complete the mandatory CBP Leadership Institute (CBP LI) course. The Office of Training and Development will schedule eligible managers to attend CBP LI within the first 90 days of appointment. All newly appointed, permanent GS-15s shall attain the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform their responsibilities by completing required leadership training in accordance with CBP Directive 51410-026, Required Leadership Training for New CBP Senior Managers (dated 02/11/2014), and CBP Directive 51410-024, Required Continuous Leader Development for CBP Supervisors (dated 11/17/2013).
NOTE: This training may be waived if previously completed.
