As Deputy Chief Information Officer, you will:
-Provide executive leadership along with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for CDC's strategic plans and information technology (IT) business services and infrastructure, including Enterprise Architecture, IT capital investment, policy and standards development, information security, IT workforce development, and other enterprise activities;
-Serve as principal advisor to the CIO on leading CDC's innovative, collaborative and cost-effective IT and informatics programs which support CDC's mission, vision, and strategic goals;
-Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the OCIO;
-Represent CDC in agency and government-wide meetings with governance entities and other partners;
-Manage information resources by implementing shared services, innovative approaches, program process improvements, establishing standards-based IT architecture as appropriate; and communicating principles of effective systems development and acquisition;
-Design, conduct, or lead studies related to CDC IT needs and processes.
