The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Information Technology Division (ITD) position is located in the Office of the Inspector General, Headquarters in Washington, DC.
The AIG-ITD serves as the Chief Information Officer and manages the Information Technology Division (ITD). The AIG-ITD is responsible for the day-to-day operations which include the strategic planning, policy formulation, direction and coordination of mission activities, directing of technology and business process integration in the development programs and a comprehensive integrated approach to the implementation of hardware, software, security, and related policies and processes to support information technology across the OIG. Efforts support the entire OIG workforce and their efforts on DOJ's programs and operations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.

Duties
The AIG-ITD is a member of Senior Executive Service and is responsible for the following:
- Executive leadership, direction, and management of the ITD, and the supervision over a GS-15 Chief, IT Applications and Programs Branch, a GS-15 Chief, Operations and Customer Service Branch, and a GS-15 Chief, Information Security Branch. The AIG-ITD directs a nationwide program encompassing operations in Headquarters and the field throughout the United States.
- Strategic planning and management of the OIG-wide information technology program developing and deploying cutting-edge government-wide, department-wide and OIG-specific information technology programs with competing requirements, timeframes and outcomes. Sets strategy and direction relating to the implementation and performance of the ITD.
- Development, coordination, programming, budget and implementation of the IT investment program, capability, and IT portfolio management. Provides policy, leadership, and direction to the ITD organization, ensuring that all missions and functions are integrated, prioritized and executed within the framework of the OIG and the ITD strategic plan, priorities and allocated resources, and that ITD performance is evaluated and results in performance improvement.
- Development of functional and technical information management guidance and systems oversight objectives to identify user requirements, identify and evaluate advanced and emerging technology developments, and develop program costs, and monitor acquisition and management.
- Oversight of the establishment of policy and providing guidance, and direction for the management of the ITD functional areas, ensuring the implementation of an integrated enterprise through synchronization of resources and coordination with other domains to deliver a fully integrated capability that supports customers.
- Develops requirements for the organization to ensure that mission workload can be met.
- Ensures data integrity and data security controls are implemented throughout the OIG, provides expertise on integrating a variety of information technology specialists and programs within the divisions and the other offices within the ITD and with other efforts department and government-wide.

Qualifications
As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience indicative of senior executive-level management capability. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector.
To meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, applicants must demonstrate in the resume and narrative statements, possession of the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and the Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) listed below. Mandatory Technical Qualification(s)

- Demonstrated experience and expert knowledge of enterprise-wide IT operations, lifecycle management, and customer care.
- Demonstrated experience and expert knowledge of cyber security operations, to include comprehensive risk management and compliance programs.
- Demonstrated experience and expert knowledge in effectively managing a multi-million dollar IT portfolio, developing IT strategic plans, and directing resource allocation.
