The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Information Technology Division (ITD) position is located in the Office of the Inspector General, Headquarters in Washington, DC.
The AIG-ITD serves as the Chief Information Officer and manages the Information Technology Division (ITD). The AIG-ITD is responsible for the day-to-day operations which include the strategic planning, policy formulation, direction and coordination of mission activities, directing of technology and business process integration in the development programs and a comprehensive integrated approach to the implementation of hardware, software, security, and related policies and processes to support information technology across the OIG. Efforts support the entire OIG workforce and their efforts on DOJ's programs and operations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.

The AIG-ITD is a member of Senior Executive Service and is responsible for the following:
As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience indicative of senior executive-level management capability. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector.
To meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, applicants must demonstrate in the resume and narrative statements, possession of the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and the Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) listed below. It is recommended that your resume emphasizes levels of responsibility, scope and complexity of programs managed, and program accomplishments, and results.
