The incumbent of this position serves as the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and, as such, is the principal advisor to the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office on the application of information technology (IT) to improve business processes. The incumbent of this position serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and works collaboratively across the USPTO Enterprise to build strategic partnerships with senior leadership to ensure deliverables meet the mission and initiatives of the agency.
